Suji halwa

One cup suji - half cup sugar - one and a half cup water or may be two (you can add some milk instead of water)
Heat ghee in a pan and add the suji and the raisins and cashew nuts. Roast it for 15 to 20 mins on medium flame. Then add sugar and sour for another few mins. Then add the water and let out cook for 5-8 mins. No need to cover.

Suji halva ready.

Zeera rice

Thanks to FMB that I learnt how to cook so tasty and flavorful zeera rice.
First soak the rice (preferably for 30 mins at least)
Meanwhile slice green chillies into halves.
Now heat oil on a pan and add zeera that is cumin seeds, bay leaf and cinnamon stick. Now as the green chilies and add some water and quickly cover. (I am not sure as to why add some water and cover.)
Bring the water to boil and as some more water you think is enough for the rice to cook well. When everything comes to a boil then add salt and the soaked rice. Trust me in 15 minutes the rice will be ready.
Rice will be better than restaurant style.

Sweet corn soup

My husband's favorite.. Absolute favorite!!
This is the easiest soup
Heat butter in a pot and add zeera, green chilies and garlic finely chopped.(don't add lot of green chillies as you have to add black pepper powder later; plus this soup should be sweet boy spicy)
Then add boneless chicken and carrots and corn.(If corn already boiled then add later.) Saute for few mins.
Then and water, Maggi cubes salt and pepper.
Let this whole thing come to a boil then let it some on medium heat for already 30-40 mins.
Lastly add cornflour to thicken the consistency of the soup. Let it come to a boil once after adding cornflour then reduce to low heat. Give 3-4 for cornflour to cook.
You can beat egg and pour on it when the soup comes to a boil.. And while pouring keep stirring. And some vinegar for a tangy taste.
You can even add noodles at the end and give it 5 mins to cook.

So the soup is ready. Yummy!!
Veg Fried Rice

First cook some rice preferably Basmati Rice (first heat oil in a pan then saute the washed rice in it. Then add some warm water and make sure the grains don't stick to each other. When rice looks cooked then remove from heat and add oil and stir a little. Then keep it in the refrigerator to cool down.)

Now heart oil in a pan and add the following ingredients on high heat in the given order:
Ginger garlic finely chopped
Green chilies
Boiled Chicken if u wanna add chicken
White heads of green onions
Carrots diced
Cabbage
Capsicum diced (try and keep the veggies of similar size)
When all these are crispy and translucent then add red chilli sauce
Then stir and cook for 3-4 mins then add the cooked rice and stir again
Add soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper powder, green onions finely chopped and some salt to taste and stir again.
If you want your rice a little more cooked then you can add some water and let it simmer (I used veg Maggi cube and dissolved it in very little water and added to the rice.)
U can also add egg if you want. Just beat the egg and add seasonings and chilli sauce to it. Then pour on a pan and make scrambled eggs. Then add this too to the rice before adding any extra water.

So that's it.. It takes v less cooking time. Just the chopping part is a pain!!

Chicken lollipops!!

Using wings to turn them into lollipops is a tedious task. But after that it gets v easy.
Start with marinating these lollipops(14-16) with some green chili sauce, 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, one tbsp soy sauce, crushed black pepper corns and salt. Keep it for like 30 mins .. Actually 15 mins will also do. More time better the taste.

Now mix these ingredients to make the batter for the lollipops: 1 tbsp chopped garlic and ginger each 2 tbsp red chili paste (chopped green chilies or crushed pepper corns is optional) then half cup all purpose flour and corn flour each and some water. Make a thick batter. And salt to taste.

Now heat oil and deep fry the lollipops after dipping them in the batter until deep brown...

Serve hot and crispy.. Yummy!

Kolkata  chicken rolls.

Marinate boneless chicken pieces with freshly grounded ginger garlic paste, lemon and shan chicken tikka kebab masala for a couple of hours. You can add curd. It should taste good. Add additional red chilli powder.
Bake it for 20 mins at 440 degree Fahrenheit (cover it so that it remains juicy) or cook in a pan. When cooked then add onions and Ching's green chili sauce.

For pratha make the parathas. Unless ubuse maida the lachcha parathas doesn't turns out proper with wheat flour. So make simple parathas. But listen the recipe.. Spread the dough then add oil and some flour. Then fold it back and forth like a fan. Then twist it and coil it. Keep in the refrigerator for 15 mins. Then make them.

Beat egg and season it. Pour in a pan. Before the top layer gets cooked add a parathas on it. Cook for 15 secs. Flip and cook for few more seconds.
Later the parathas with egg on the inner side with Ching's green chilli sauce the chicken and some more onions.

Ready get set go...

Mix these two well and add lots of garam masala powder.

Hawe thaal lagao!
Layered pulav!

Today I cooked something by getting inspired from a movie named "chef special" and I got so much inspired that I made the dish that I tried so much tobegt the recipe from here and there.. Many people.. But all in vain.. Never got one!

So let's start..
All u need is chicken ginger garlic paste chilli sauce and Ching's chili sauce, Maggi cubes, cashew powder, soem cornflour and butter and chicken of course!

To start with .. Take butter in a pan. Add cashew powder. Saute on low heat v well. Then add chilli sauce. Again cook well on low heat. Then add freshly made ginger garlic paste. Cook well then add the chicken. Cook on medium to high heat. Keep stirring. Masala well cooked then add chicken or veg stock made with the Maggi cubes. Cook on high heat. Now smell .. Guess what it needs ;) I added some red chilli powder.
If consistency very thin then add cornflour. Add salt only if needed because the Maggi cubes are very salty.

Now serve this with roti or make a fantastic pulav.. Make coriander rice (hear some oil add coriander and any slice you wanna experiment. Then add the presoaked rice and stir for 5 mins. Then add enough water and cover and cook.
Place rice on the plate. Then add the gravy. Then add chopped green onions. Add the dressing thousand island. Then garnish lastly with fried onions. There you are!!! All set for the feast.
